Patched and matched: Neumann and Zähl at Superbooth25
Artist panels, listening sessions and live performances
Berlin, May 14, 2025 – The world's most important fair and festival for electronic music and pro audio technology once again came up with some fresh superlatives this year. In addition to a noticeable increase in brands, manufacturers, and guests, there was once again a unique vibe that is impossible to put into words and simply has to be experienced.
After a sensational launch at its Berlin headquarters with high-profile international guests from a wide range of pro audio fields, Neumann joined forces with Michael Zähl at this year's Superbooth25. Cooperation is one of the foundations on which the entire pro audio industry has always been built. Therefore, We were thrilled to find a like-minded partner in the legendary console manufacturer Zähl from Bergisch Gladbach, who shares Neumann's passion for audio perfection.
Deep Insights
During the three-day event, producers and artists took turns at the FEZ's so called „Puppenbühne", which had been converted into a high-end auditorium. In panels held up to three times a day, film composer, House DJ, and producer Tobi Neumann, composer and sound designer Aimée Portioli aka Grand River, producer and conductor Viktor Orri Árnason, and songwriter and producer Samar Rad aka Mentrix, among others, provided profound insights into their artistic work.
Backed by Neumann's most powerful speaker system, which includes the KH 870 Subwoofer and KH 420 Midfields, the sonic finesse provided by the artists was clearly audible. Visitors also had the opportunity to try out perfectly aligned KH DSP line monitors, such as the KH 80, KH 120 II, and KH 150, all connected to the MT 48 audio interface. Additionally, headphones were available to explore immersive audio with the NDH 20 and NDH 30, thanks to RIME, our revolutionary plugin solution designed for reliable mixing.
Collaboration and Innovation
Solutions such as the innovative RIME plug-in for virtualizing immersive speaker setups did not just fall from the sky, even in 2025. They are the result of intensive dialogue with artists and producers in an increasingly complex and interconnected pro audio world. Only when technology no longer determines the process, but rather enables it, creative freedom can truly blossom.
With this in mind, Neumann has been dedicated to ensuring that artists no longer have to worry about the technical side of the creative process for almost a century. Creativity only begins to shine when all other factors fall into place, this applies equally to club and orchestra productions.
We at Neumann are proud and grateful to be part of such an enriching, vibrant, and internationally connected community, and we look forward to seeing you again at the upcoming Superbooth 2026 in Berlin.
